SPECIAL EDUCATION NEEDS
Bitterne Park School has established procedures to support those pupils who may experience difficulties with learning, behaviour, physical, social and/or emotional difficulties. This builds upon the work of all staff who aim to provide a broad and balanced approach to learning. The aim is that all children can participate fully in the life of the school and achieve their full potential.
This policy document explains how the school will support pupils with special educational needs, continue existing good practice and follow the guidance suggested by the Local Education Authority. It takes into account existing school policies, such as those for behaviour management, anti-bullying and equal opportunities.
