Year 9 was an extremely busy and tremendously important year wth pupils starting some GCSE courses as well as selecting their options for Key Stage 4 and also the inital organisation of work experience.
As year 10 begins so does the final stage of the pupils time at Bitterne Park - the all important Key Stage 4 GCSE, Btec courses begin. It is of the utmost importance that all pupils start this acaemic year with a 'can do' attitude to work. Attending all lessons with a positive attitude and the desire to achieve the best they possibly can is vital if each and every pupil is to reach their full potential. All work completed during this all important year will be essential as exams will take place this year, these will be the real thing NOT mocks. Therefore attendance is of the utmost importance. There is a very significant link to good attendance and achievement
Those who attend will achieve - if you are not here you will not learn.
I have extremely expectations for the year group, expectations that will confirm that we are the best ever year group at Bitterne Park. To achieve this it is important that everyone gives their best - that includes teaching staff, tutors and pupils - we are a team.
Progress Leader - Mrs Stokes
Assistant Progress Leader - Miss Tarrant
With Mr Ashley (Assistant Head) as the SMT link.
Despite only working with the year group since year 9 I know that you have the potential to achieve phenomenal results, I know that you are a driven year group with the fire and desire to be successful and I know that you will give 100% throughout your final 18 months at BPS - that sounds like a lifetime however it will fly past - make sure you do not waste time but focus each and every day and be the best that you can be at all times.
Best of luck and enjoy.
Mrs Stokes.
