Full School Uniform:
 
 
Shirts/Blouses: A plain white shirt or long sleeved blouse with a collar.
 
We do not allow T-shirts or polo shirts, silk/satin materials or embroidery. Shirts and blouses must be of sufficient length to allow them to be tucked in. T-shirts and undergarments should not be visible through blouses.
 
School Tie:
 
Available from the school or from Skoolkit. Compulsory for boys; optional for girls.
 
Skirts/Trousers: Plain, black.
 
Skirts must be a reasonable length; very short skirts are not acceptable. Trousers must be ankle length. We do not allow fashion or tight trousers, shorts, denim style material, checks/flecks and stripes.
 
Sweaters: Bitterne Park black v-neck
sweatshirt with motif.
 
No other type of jumper is permitted in school. Sweatshirts and hooded sweatshirts are unacceptable in place of school sweaters. In colder weather coats may be worn, but must be removed on entering classrooms.
 
Optional Summer Uniform:
 
White polo shirt with school logo.
 
 
 
 
 
During the Summer term and first half of the Autumn Term the official white school polo shirt can be worn as an alternative to the blouse/shirt and tie.
 
Footwear: Sensible black shoes without pronounced tread.
 
We do not allow trainers, white or brightly coloured shoes. In the interest of safety we do now allow platform, sling back or slip-ons. The Local Authority prohibits stiletto heels. Boots may be worn to and from school in the winter months but shoes must be worn inside the school building.
 
Jewellery: Watch; one pair of plain studs or small sleepers in lobes.
 
The school cannot accept responsibility for jewellery. We do not allow rings, nose rings/ studs or other forms of body piercing.
 
Hairstyle: neat, tidy.
 
We do not allow extreme, unnatural hair colour or close-shaven hair (shorter than grade 2).
 
Make-up: Should be inconspicuous.
 


The school uniform is produced by 'Skoolkit' - it is possible to buy direct from Skoolkit, however if purchased through the school then the school receives a small percentage of the sales cost.  The prices are identical to buying direct from Skoolkit.
