Bitterne Park School Parent Teacher Association
We are a group of parents who are interested in supporting the school. We do this in two ways. Firstly, by fund raising in order to support certain activities within the school and also to make purchases of equipment where possible. Secondly, by helping with or organising events for both the parents of students and the students themselves.
Many of our members are working parents and are restricted as to the amount of time that the can give. Our meetings and commitments are therefore tailored to fit around busy lives.
We have pledged to help finance the school's 'Breakfast Club'. The club is run especially for children who benefit from the extra support and attention they recieve.
We are hoping to have sufficient funds remaining to purchase digital camera equipment for the Drama department.
During the year the PTA has supplied refreshments at many events and funded them on occasion, eg. 'The Christmas Concert' at Bitterne Church and the new parents evening for those students joining in September.
