Welcome to the Bitterne Park Science department!

Science fires people’s curiosity about phenomena in the world around them and offers opportunities to find explanations. It engages learners at many levels, linking direct practical experience with scientific ideas.
Our aim is to inspire learners to become scientific investigators, exploring the world around them to find answers to questions that are relevant to them in an everyday context. As well as scientific knowledge, we hope that pupils will develop a range of skills that will be useful to them in future life.

We are proud to be a successful department within an outstanding school. Read on to find out more about who we are and what we do.
