The Music Department

The music department is a thriving and lively department within the school both during school and extra curricular clubs. We welcome anyone whether you are a beginner or more advanced. The department runs activities which suits all pupils needs. Music allows you to become creative and at the same encourages self confidence, raises
self-esteem and above all to have FUN!
 
The department consists of the following staff

Within Music Lessons students will:
  • Learn new musical skills through performing, composing and listening
  • Study music from different genres
  • Look at music from around the world and play on instruments from around the world
  • Learn how to use Music Technology software on the Apple Mac Computers
  • Have the opportunity to perform to a variety of audiences
  • Attend specialist workshops led by professional musicians
  • Have the opportunity to watch live musicians
  • Learn the skills to gain a job in the music industry
  • Develop confidence  and self-esteem
