Edexcel BTEC First Certificate – Acting (equivalent to 2 GCSEs)
 
  • Assignments are in the form of written research, presentations, diary entries, blogs and evaluations
  • Assessed in units – three units/six assessed performances, over the two year course
  • Achieve grades Distinction* (A*), Distinction (A) , Merit (B), Pass (C) anything below is a fail
  • To achieve a pass you must attend all sessions and rehearsals
  • 100% practical course
  • You will have to act in front of an audience on a daily basis to pass this course
  • You will be required to watch the work of other pupils and professional theatre companies
 
Edexcel BTEC – First Diploma Performing Arts (equivalent to 4 GCSEs)
 
  • Split between Drama and Music
  • I suggest you have a talent in at least two of the three subject areas
