GCSE Dance

 
There are 3 areas of assessment: Choreography, Performance and Appreciation. Mock assessments are completed throughout Years 10 & 11 but the main assessments are in March and April of Year 11. The course is mainly practically based with a written examination.

15% A dance developed from three motifs selected from a professional dance work (1-1 ½ minutes)

Solo (1½-2 minutes) or group (*2½-3 minutes) choreography in response to a stimulus and set by the Exam Board
Written Paper
(External Examination)

1 hour. Answer questions on two professional dance works.
