BTEC FIRST CERTIFICATE IN DRAMA
The course is predominantly practical and allows students to have a "hands on" approach to the subject of Drama. Besides working with the teachers at the school the course will involve a trip(s) to a theatre to look at technical and front of house operations. In addition, we would hope that professionals from the world of theatre would deliver some parts of the course (eg lighting or stage fighting).
Assessment
The Qualification is worth two GCSEs. Assessment is divided equally between three units.
Performing Plays, Devising Plays either Lighting or Sound
Assessment in all of the modules is both practical and written.
There is not final examination for this course.
