Water Design Challenge – this is an enrichment project run with Southern Water with students designing a solution to help reduce water usage. This involves visiting a water treatment plant, seeing meters being installed, presenting ideas to industry professionals and working on a range of challenge days. In Summer 2012, Bitterne Park students came first place with their design of a water-reducing shower.
We CAN STEM Challenge – this is a project run with Solent EBP with students working on real life challenges. Students in 2013 took on a project designing the new Gym and outside space for the new development at Admiral’s Quay in Ocean village. This led to them working with a real life project manager, visiting the building site and taking part in challenge days in the Hilton Hotel.
